Viktoria Padilla
Lighting Designer/Programmer
About Me
I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BFA in Theater Design, Technology, and Management as well as with a BA in Psychology in 2021. I was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I spent 3 years working at the Lensic Performing Arts Center as an electrician & stagehand. This is where I began discovering my passion and why I decided to pursue a career in Technical Theater. I enjoy the collaborative process. My passion is in lighting design and programming.
While attending CU Boulder, I began my design career by working as the assistant lighting designer on the Fall 2018 production of Hecuba. I then went on to design Almost, Maine, which opened in Spring 2019 and was my first solo lighting design. I designed many more shows in the department of Theater and Dance throughout my time at CU. I have recently begun to branch off into the professional world and have worked on many projects in the Denver Area.
Currently, I am pursuing moving light programming, designing and working with stage electrics. I recently completed my role as associate master electrician and moving light programmer for the Spring 2020 production of Spring Awakening, my role as an electrician for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and my role as Production Associate for the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. I am continuing to design and program in the Denver area post Covid-19.
